Piloting

We are planning to pilot some of the inputs in his semester. This way, we hope to get an idea of how students will respond to the new task types that we have chosen to add to our book. Moreover, it will help us to get feedback from teachers in terms of what kind of support they may like or need in the teachers' book, how well the students coped with the tasks, and how long a sample input took to cover in class. We will also be doing observations in classes that will pilot the sample inputs so that we can observe students on task.

The full piloting of our coursebook is scheduled for 2018-2019 spring semester. Throughout the semester our writers will be collecting regular feedback from instructors and students, as well as teaching the book themselves. Each piece of feedback then will be discussed, evaluated, and necessary amendments will be made. We hope to ensure comrehensive feedback on the book through: - surveys for both teachers and students - attending weekly meetings wiith the teachers - having an open collaborative document for teachers to note down their views right after teaching, so that even the mini-details will not be forgotten until the next round of feedback - writers' own experiences of teaching the book - class-observations with voluntary teachers - focus group discussions
